Since its inception in 2004, Annamrita Foundation has worked tirelessly to combat hunger and foster a healthier future for those in need. In this journey, Mankind Pharma has emerged as a vital partner, amplifying the Foundation’s mission of nourishing lives and building brighter futures. Together, they work closely with central and state governments to implement impactful food donation programs. These initiatives not only provide mid-day meals to school children but also extend support to frontline workers and underserved communities. By addressing the twin challenges of hunger and illiteracy, this partnership strives to create a world where no one in need goes hungry.

Transforming Education and Health with Mankind Pharma

A shining example of this collaboration is the mid-day meal program powered by Mankind Pharma’s generous support. Focused on breaking the cycle of illiteracy and malnutrition, the program delivers nutritious and hygienic meals prepared in state-of-the-art kitchens to underprivileged children across municipal and government-aided schools. Between April and June 2024, this initiative served an impressive 364,455 meals to 10,413 students from 60 schools in Mumbai. By ensuring students receive vital nourishment, the program has significantly improved attendance rates, reduced sick leaves, and encouraged regular school participation.

Mankind Pharma’s contributions have been instrumental in sustaining this large-scale operation, reinforcing Annamrita Foundation’s mission to provide equitable access to food and education. The success of the program is reflected not only in healthier and happier children but also in the growing trust of communities it serves. This partnership exemplifies the power of corporate social responsibility in driving meaningful change and underscores how collective efforts can pave the way for a hunger-free, educated society.
