Achievements So Far

Our journey toward decarbonization is well underway. In the financial year 2024, we achieved a remarkable milestone:

• 52% of our total energy consumption was sourced from renewable power.
• Reduction in total energy consumption by 13%, thanks to investments in energy efficiency and green technologies.
• 55% reduction in carbon emissions (Scope 1 & 2) compared to the previous year.

These achievements highlight our steadfast dedication to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and shifting from non-renewable to renewable energy sources.

Steps We’re Taking to Build a Decarbonized Future

To achieve our ambitious goals by 2030, we have implemented a range of initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption:

• Solar Power Adoption:
  • Installation of rooftop solar panels across our manufacturing units and corporate offices to harness clean energy.
• Transition to Agro-Briquette Boilers:
  • Replacing conventional coal-based boilers with 100% agro-briquette-based boilers, a cleaner and more sustainable alternative.
• Renewable Power Procurement:
  • Purchasing 89% and 100% GRID renewable power (hydro) from the Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim State Electricity Boards, respectively.
• Energy Efficiency Enhancements:
  • Leveraging advanced technologies like AI-based chillers, air handling unit (AHU) optimization, and energy-efficient motor replacements.
  • Installation of variable frequency drives (VFDs) to improve energy usage.
